Autumn means oven baked goodies!

 

Do you think it is time to get a new oven?  There are lots of options available.  These include built-in single and double wall ovens, free standing ranges with single or double ovens, and counter top microwave ovens with convection technology.  So many options!

 

Wall ovens have always been a favorite for anyone that can fit one in their kitchen.  They create an extra baking spot if used in addition to a range oven, and when they are in a wall, there is less bending needed to get things in and out. 

 

So how do you know what will fit in your kitchen?  Dormont Appliance Centers works with a very small group of expert installers that can do the measuring for you before you decide to buy. 

 

Maybe you do not want to get a new oven just yet...  That's OK.  But please, remember the holidays are getting near.  If you are going to run the self clean cycle in any oven, do it way before the big day!   If the self clean cycle malfunctions, it can put your oven out of commission.

IT'S OUR ANNIVERSARY!

Dormont Appliance Centers just turned 65.

Our first store opened in July of 1949.  It was opened by Buzz Scheimer in the neighborhood in which he grew up: Dormont PA.

Today there are two stores owned and operated by his sons, Craig and Alan. 

 

Appliances have changed quite a bit over the years.  Even the way we buy and use them has changed.  But one thing that has remained the same is our belief that a neighborhood store should not lose sight of the people it serves. 

 

Dormont Appliance is proud to be part of the local community and is looking forward to many more anniversaries.

Summer is going too fast! 

Independence Day is almost here. 
That means there are a lot of great holiday sales going on, but it wouldn't it be better if summer went just a little slower? 

The employees of Dormont Appliance Centers will get a little break this week because the stores will be closed on the 4th.  But the big 4th of July Sale-a-bration continues through Saturday.
